PRP

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is an effective regenerative treatment that harnesses the power of your body’s own healing agents. It is useful in both pain management and for aesthetic purposes as it is natural, effective and safe.
In pain management, PRP is superior to painkillers in that its effects do not wear off over time, it is not addictive and there is no risk of an allergic reaction.
In aesthetic treatments, a PRP triggers the production of collagen and production of new cells and is used to treat hair loss, wrinkles and scars, for example.

How does it work?

Our blood is normally made up of 93% red blood cells, 6% white blood cells, 1% platelets, and plasma. The platelets contain a class of proteins, called growth factors, that are key to healing damaged cells, muscles, tendon, ligaments.
During the treatment, a little of your blood is extracted and processed (spun) in a centrifuge to isolate the platelets so that they are concentrated in the plasma. This platelet-rich plasma is then injected back into the area treatment is required
